Job summary

fairlife, LLC, a Chicago-based nutrition company, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a night shift in Webster, NY. You will perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance on production and facilities equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and safety.

The role requires at least 3 years of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical repair experience, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics and basic electrical repair.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, schematics and drawings.
• Ability to write detailed repair reports as well as good verbal communication.
• Post-secondary education and/or a technical trade certificate is an asset.
• Experience in the operation of a food/beverage plant is an asset.
• Proficiency in English: Comfortable with both written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Execute all job duties with a strong safety mindset. Follow all permitting, job safety, and food safety programs and procedures every time.
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as valves, conveyors, compressors, packers, fillers, palletizers, filters, membranes, separators, blow molders, labeling, and pumps.
• Troubleshoot, repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed.
• Perform work order repairs, preventive maintenance inspections and repairs, equipment rebuilds and adjustments.
• Able to set up and operate welders, drill press, grinder, hand tools and other metal working equipment.
• Fabrication, innovation and modification of new and existing equipment.
• Create work orders for equipment repairs that include parts and document labor hours
• Participates in plant safety, health and environmental programs.
• Other duties may be assigned.
