Job summary

The Hershey Company in Edgerton, KS is seeking a Maintenance Technician for D shift (nights). The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance of production equipment, with emphasis on electrical and mechanical systems in a food packaging environment.

Qualifications include 4 years of machine maintenance experience, 2 years of Fanuc robot experience, and the ability to weld and operate 480V systems. Candidates must be able to work 12-hour nights and be adaptable to weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School education.
• Familiar with SQF, FDA, and OSHA requirements.
• 4 years machine maintenance experience.
• 2 years of Fanuc robot experience.
• Ability to Mig and/or Tig Weld and/or Industrial electrician (480V systems).

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate maintenance records.
• Installation of new production machinery.
• Complete all daily, preventative, and predictive maintenance activities as assigned with regards to food safety and the reduction of equipment failures.
• Responds to production needs and troubleshoots machines and machine/line control schemes; performs repairs and preventative maintenance on production and non-production equipment.
• Works with other Maintenance to contribute improvements to PM procedures.
• Works with other Maintenance to prioritize maintenance jobs; help analyze downtime information; provide input on maintenance opportunities.
• Supervise work of outside contractors.
• Follow all personal and food safety requirements, especially SQF guidelines.
• Maintain clean and orderly tools and work area; contribute to 5S initiative.
