Job summary

General Mills, at its Blue Buffalo Richmond, IN facility, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the night shift. You will install, maintain and repair industrial machinery, troubleshoot complex systems, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

The role requires 3+ years of industrial maintenance, PLC/electrical knowledge, and ability to work nights with overtime. The plant operates 24/7 and offers comprehensive benefits and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or GED and 3+ years industrial maintenance experience.
Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of PLCs, electrical motors, gears, and troubleshooting.
Experience repairing/troubleshooting AC/DC electrical systems; reading schematics; using electrical testing equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment.
Willingness to work 2nd shift with overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, repair, and replace industrial processing and packaging machinery and equipment.
Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide technical support for equipment modifications.
Design and layout circuits, install wiring conduits, motors, and electrical components; use multimeter for testing.
Perform sheet metal fabrication and MIG/TIG/arc welding as needed.
Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance.
