Job summary

Kobelco Aluminum Products and Extrusions in Bowling Green, KY is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 12-hour night shift. You will perform general maintenance and repairs on facility and production equipment, ensuring compliance with EPA/OSHA rules and safety standards.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting motors and controls up to 480V, PLC issues, preventive maintenance, reading electrical diagrams, and handling tools and equipment to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of multi-skilled industrial maintenance experience.
• Skilled in electrical and mechanical repairs, hydraulics/pneumatics, PLC controls (preferred), and robot programming (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot electrical motors, motor controls, up to 480V systems, compressors.
• PLC program troubleshooting.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and scheduled maintenance during machine service.
• Read and understand electrical and other mechanical diagrams.
• Run conduit and troubleshoot network cable (CAT5).
• Log and track inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Diagnose equipment problems, replace/repair parts, test and adjust.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facility.
