Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC in Martinsville, VA seeks a Maintenance Technician for night shifts. You will maintain electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, troubleshoot malfunctions, and restore equipment to operation while upholding safety rules and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities include serving PLCs, temperature controllers, VFDs, and test gear; performing preventive maintenance and keeping detailed CMMS records; and assisting in facility upkeep such as dock doors,

Qualifications

• GED/HS diploma required; associate/technical certificate preferred.
• Must be able to read and understand work instructions, drawings and specs.
• Ability to perform basic math and maintain accurate maintenance records.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, incl. PLCs, temperature controllers, power supplies, VFDs.
• Repair or adjust machinery in the manufacturing area and perform preventive maintenance.
• Conduct occasional facility maintenance (dock doors, plumbing, carpentry) and maintain CMMS records.
