Job summary

Samtec, Wilsonville Cable Manufacturing Site, seeks a Repair/Maintenance Technician for a Wednesday–Friday night shift. You will perform setup, repair, and preventive maintenance on cable manufacturing equipment, ensuring uptime and reliability.

Training is provided prior to nights, with strong safety adherence and documentation. The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting, and collaboration with Operations and Engineering

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associates/technical degree preferred.
• Experience in maintenance/equipment repair or cable manufacturing is expected.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to document maintenance activities accurately.
• Familiarity with PLCs, relays, pneumatic components helps.
• Willingness to work a night shift and in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance on cable manufacturing equipment and tooling.
• Execute preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Set up processes and perform changeovers on equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in automated machinery.
• Maintain maintenance records in electronic systems.
• Support equipment uptime KPIs and timely PM task completion.
• Assist with machine upgrades and basic wiring or sub-assembly tasks.
• Provide training to others on key equipment and processes.
• Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to sustain equipment.
