Samtec, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Machine Repair/Maintenance Technician for the Wilsonville Cable Manufacturing Site.

The role focuses on setup, repair, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of cable manufacturing equipment, with emphasis on reliability and uptime. The position runs on a 3x12 night shift (Wed-Fri, 5pm-5am) with benefits including retirement plans and performance-based contributions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates/Technical degree preferred in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Engineering.
• 3–5 years of maintenance/equipment technician or cable manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills; able to read schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance for cable manufacturing equipment and tooling.
• Execute the preventative maintenance plan to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Perform process setup and changeovers on equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on automated machinery.
• Generate accurate maintenance records in the electronic system.
• Support equipment uptime KPIs and PM tasks with timely updates.
