Job summary

Kerry Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician for the Evansville, IN facility. The role supports safety, reliability, and efficiency by repairing plant equipment and assisting with daily maintenance activities.

Night shift runs from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus and staged bonus payments after meeting attendance targets. The position requires hands-on technical skills, experience in manufacturing environments, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting while promoting

Qualifications

• Three or more years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Two-year degree in industrial technology or advanced manufacturing is preferred.
• Experience in a food manufacturing facility is preferred.
• Strong mechanical repair, general welding, electrical troubleshooting, and PLC troubleshooting skills.
• Strong electrical controls experience, or the ability to develop that capability within a reasonable timeframe.
• Ability to use hand tools, handheld power tools, and basic computer applications.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate closely with production and maintenance team members.
• Ability to work through complex problems and develop logical, practical solutions.
• Ability to lead by example and help train fellow team members.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment, including mixers, conveyors, compressors, and pumps.
• Complete work-order repairs, inspections, adjustments, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using low-voltage DC and 120-, 240-, and 480-volt AC power.
• Repair or replace switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, etc.
• Troubleshoot controls to the I/O level and connect to PLC systems.
• Set up and operate welders, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking equipment.
• Fabricate and modify new and existing equipment.
• Support daily maintenance scheduling and priority review.
• Recommend equipment and long-term solutions to improve maintenance and operations.
• Train team members and promote safe work practices.
