Vitro Careers in North Carolina seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician for a night shift (7:00 pm–7:00 am) on a rotating schedule. The role supports maintenance, engineering, production, and QA to resolve equipment and process problems.

Responsibilities include technical troubleshooting, on-the-job training for GMMs, writing work orders, and coordinating with Process Engineers to drive continuous improvement. Strong schematics and PLC/robot skills are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of practical manufacturing experience.
• Read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs and ladder logic.
• Proficient with FANUC robots and Cognex vision systems.
• Experience with VFDs and Servos.
• Knowledge of 3-phase motors and drive systems.
• Willing to work night shift and weekend call-ins.

Responsibilities

• Must be self-motivated to follow up on maintenance activities.
• Provide technical assistance to maintenance, engineering, and production teams.
• Write work orders and procedures to fix malfunctions or improve processes.
• Train maintenance and production staff on new equipment and controls.
• Attend meetings with engineers to identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist in specifying parts and testing new equipment.
• Collaborate with purchasing to manage parts inventory.
