Job summary

SBA Home North Carolina is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems and automated equipment across the plant. The role supports reliable production during a night shift after initial training on day shifts, with emphasis on safety, TPM, and continuous improvement.

You will work with a cross-functional team to uphold quality standards, read and interpret schematics, and maintain accurate logs and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and problem solving.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, automated setting with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems, automated equipment, machinery, and facility components.
• Diagnose electrical, control, and automation issues to minimize downtime and improve production efficiency.
• Install, test, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, motors, drives, sensors, PLCs, control panels, and related equipment.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to support reliability and continuous improvement.
• Read schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
• Maintain maintenance records, work instructions, and TPM activities.
