Job summary

Johnson Brothers Liquor Company in St. Paul, MN is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the third shift to service our office and warehouse complex.

The role focuses on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building automation, security, safety systems, and HVAC, with a strong emphasis on independent work and effective communication. The position requires 2-5 years of mechanical experience, an associates degree in Mechanical Systems Operation (preferred), and a boilers license or ability to obtain one

Qualifications

• A two-year technical associates degree in Mechanical Systems Operation (Preferred).
• 2-5 years hands on Mechanical experience.
• Electrical aptitude is required.
• Experience with systems: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Building Automation Systems, Security.
• Must be a self-directed and independent worker.
• Excellent Verbal/written communication skills to interact with all company personnel and guests.
• Availability for occasional days/afternoons and weekends; on-call may be required.
• Boilers license or ability to obtain within the first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure MEPFS systems function and are repaired as needed.
• Maintain and monitor building heating and cooling systems.
• Operate pumps and water circulation systems.
• Maintain conveyor system and loaders.
• Provide facility/engineering and project support.
• Ensure MEPFS inspections, testing and certification compliance.
• Oversee grounds and structural maintenance of buildings.
• Respond to emergencies, inclement weather, after-hours services
• Order equipment and materials as needed.
• Respond to work orders and service requests promptly.
• Perform inspections and maintain maintenance logs.
• Keep upper management informed of facility issues.
