Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC is seeking a maintenance technician for the poultry processing plant in Alabama. The role involves maintaining and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveying systems, using blueprints and diagrams to ensure equipment meets specifications.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, basic welding and fabrication, and following NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and all applicable laws. You must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in industrial machine predictive and preventative maintenance.
• wide use of blueprints and diagrams to verify specifications.

Responsibilities

• Repair and perform preventative maintenance on industrial machinery (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, conveying systems) using blueprints and diagrams.
• Identify root causes of basic mechanical issues and perform repairs by welding, fabricating parts, basic pipefitting or replacing defective components.
• Identify unsafe conditions and correct them; report if unable to correct.
• Assist with maintaining a file of blueprints and operating manuals.
• Work in compliance with company policies and NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal laws.
• All other duties as assigned.
