Job summary

Simmons Foods seeks a maintenance technician to repair, replace and calibrate equipment across our production lines. The role involves hands-on work to keep machinery running efficiently and safely in a fast-paced food processing environment.

You will consult with engineers and vendors, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Experience in welding, electrical or mechanical repair, plus refrigeration or hydraulics, and strong English communication are required.

Qualifications

• Experience or vocational training in welding, electrical or mechanical repair, and refrigeration or hydraulics.
• Commitment to safety and ability to follow PPE requirements and regulatory standards.
• English language proficiency, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Repair, replace, correct, or adjust equipment to ensure it operates safely and efficiently per production needs.
• Consult with engineers and vendors; assist with layout work and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Meet safety requirements and follow Simmons policies and government regulations regarding safety, environment and handling of products.
• Act as a team member to support development, communication, and implementation of team programs and policies; participate in meetings and promote cohesiveness.
• Adhere to Simmons operating systems principles (LEAN, quality, security, policies) and communicate improvement ideas.
