Job summary

Simmons Pet Food Inc is seeking a Maintenance Tech I for the SS D Shift in Arkansas. The role involves assisting in equipment repair and preventative maintenance in a poultry/food processing facility, with a Wed 11pm-5am and Thu-Sat 5pm-5am schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have experience or vocational training in welding, electrical or mechanical repair, and refrigeration or hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, replaces, corrects or affects equipment as needed to ensure equipment operates correctly and efficiently according to production requirements.
• Consults with Engineers and vendors as needed. Accomplishes layout work for each project as needed. Will be able to troubleshoot equipment.
• Meets safety requirements in accomplishing responsibilities of this position complying with all policies or regulations set forth by Simmons or various government agencies concerning safety, environment, vehicle, handling of food products, packaging, ingredients and any related items.
• Participates as a member of the Team. Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members.
