Job summary

Martinrea International is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure long-term reliability of building equipment, tooling and machinery in a production environment. The role includes servicing CNC machinery, developing preventative maintenance programs, documenting activities, and reporting to management.

The position emphasizes safety, compliance with ISO standards, and adherence to company policies, with potential involvement in installation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Excellent English communication skills (oral and written).
• Knowledge in computer software for Windows.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
• Critical thinker with attention to detail and problem solving.
• Fanuc robotics knowledge preferred.
• Electrical knowledge preferred.
• Ability to interact with Management Team in a professional manner to continually enhance the company's performance.
• Ability to work independently without supervision and with minimum directions.
• Successful completion of Martinrea International's Orientation Program.

Responsibilities

• Assures long-term capability and expedient repair of all building equipment, tooling and machinery.
• Able to perform maintenance on CNC machinery.
• Developing and implementing a Preventative Maintenance program for all production and support equipment.
• Documenting completion of Preventative Maintenance work and providing written reports to management.
• Responding and correcting all equipment problems that affect quality, scheduling or cost.
• Developing and maintaining a list of perishable tooling for production and support equipment.
• Tracking perishable tooling inventory and initiating ordering additional material when appropriate.
• Continuous improvement with regards to safety, production, quality and scheduling.
• Assisting in the installation of production and support equipment.
• Consistently following ISO standards.
• Adhere to company policies including Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, HR policies, and Martinrea Employee Handbook.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and legislation including Environmental Legislation and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Understand and comply with State and Provincial laws related to Harassment and Violence in the workplace.
