Job summary
The Recruiting Hive is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a leading automotive plastics manufacturer in South Grand Rapids, MI. This role focuses on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and minimizing downtime in a fast-paced facility.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years in industrial maintenance (mechanical/hydraulic and electrical/electronics), experience with Keyence equipment, and a strong safety mindset. 3rd shift hours, competitive hourly pay, and comprehensive benefits are offered.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience (mechanical/hydraulic & electrical/electronics).
- Automotive industry experience preferred.
- Experience with Keyence equipment and sensors.
- Safety-focused and detail-oriented.
Responsibilities
- Identify causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
- Repair broken machines quickly and efficiently.
- Perform preventive maintenance and work order service on machines.
- Thoroughly clean machines and machine parts; remove/install parts as needed.
- Oil and lubricate moving parts for optimal performance.
- Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts.
- Install replacement parts for machines.
- Prepare reports documenting work performed.
- Maintain shop areas, tools, and supplies; inventory as needed.
- Assist with new or removed equipment; building and grounds duties.
