Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, seeks an onsite Technologist to install, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and devices in our Clayville, NY operation. You will ensure melt system components function reliably and comply with the National Electrical Code.

The role emphasizes Continuous Improvement, CORE duties, and strict EH&S adherence. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be able to work a 3x12 night shift; respirator use may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Electrical and electronic trades training or an Associate degree is preferred.
• Read and work from drawings and schematic diagrams.
• Use volt-ohm meter and megger.
• Strong attendance record required.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work hours outside regular shift.
• Good mechanical aptitude and physical ability.
• Must wear respirator and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems and devices.
• Keep melt system electrical components functioning.
• Perform work to the National Electrical Code.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• May be asked to perform additional tasks to support objectives.
• Follow CORE guidelines and duties as required.
• Adhere to EH&S guidelines and PPE requirements.
• Call in/overtime when required.
• Work a 3x12 Friday–Sunday shift 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.
