Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I in Prairie Du Chien, WI to perform preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment and tools and assist with repairs in the Maintenance Department.

Schedule: 6pm - 6am Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun, Wed, Thu. Qualifications include a high school diploma and at least 1 year of machine repair experience; knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and control systems, welding, and hazardous materials handling; and being 18 or older.

Qualifications

High school diploma required.
At least 1 year of machine repair experience.
Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technologies.
Welding experience.
Familiar with safety rules and regulations.
Hazardous waste/material handling knowledge.
Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Perform regular, preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, tools and building.
Assist in repair of woodworking machinery, infeed/outfeed systems, hand tools and forklifts.
Order supplies and parts as required.
Maintain records of repair and maintenance activities.
Adhere to safety rules and keep a clean, organized work area.
Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
Prepare various reports as required.
Perform other duties as required.
