Job summary

MeriCal in Ogden, UT is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic on the third shift (10:00 PM–6:30 AM). You’ll maintain and repair packaging equipment, troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, and minimize downtime in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role requires 3–7 years of mechanical experience, CMMS familiarity, and ability to read schematics. We offer competitive hourly pay, benefits, and opportunities to mentor others.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of mechanical maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals.
• Proficient in English (reading/writing).
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Safety-focused with good communication skills.
• Mentor junior mechanics and coordinate with other teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and timely repairs on packaging equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical failures and repair industrial machinery.
• Operate maintenance tools: milling machines, bench grinders, air tools, hydraulics, belt sanders.
• Use CMMS to track and manage work orders.
• Install and set up new machines or components and test before production.
• Support production and train operators.
• Adhere to safety procedures and regulations.
