Job summary

MeriCal is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to oversee upkeep, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems essential for production. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, safe operation, and timely repairs to minimize downtime in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

The candidate should bring 3–7 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience, strong English literacy for manuals, and CMMS proficiency. Willingness to mentor staff and collaborate across departments is required.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of mechanical maintenance experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Proficient in reading English and equipment manuals.
• Able to read pneumatic schematics and electrical/pneumatic diagrams.
• Experience with CMMS and basic PLC I/O troubleshooting.
• Able to mentor junior mechanics and coordinate with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain packaging equipment; perform timely repairs to support production.
• Diagnose mechanical failures and repair industrial machinery.
• Use shop tools and welding techniques MIG/TIG; install and set up new machines.
• Interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics and consult technical manuals.
• Conduct root cause analysis and lead major repair projects.
• Maintain a clean, safe maintenance shop and train production personnel.
