Job summary

Prysmian Group in McKinney, TX is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to apply mechanical and technical expertise to sustain production equipment and plant operations. The role supports safety, reliability, and uptime across the facility with hands-on maintenance tasks and timely responses to issues.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose problems, and work under Prysmian and OSHA guidelines to keep machinery running smoothly, with a strong focus on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing settings with conveyors, motors, bearings, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair production machinery and facility equipment.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns during production.
• Perform scheduled maintenance during planned downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Read and interpret manuals, diagrams, schematics, and work orders.
• Maintain records of completed work and equipment performance.
• Assist with installations, startups, and shutdowns per Prysmian and OSHA guidelines.
• Ensure safety and maintain compliance with maintenance history.
