Job summary

You will work with industrial machinery, including die cutters, presses, conveyors, and bindery equipment, using welding, hydraulics, and electrical diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues in response to equipment malfunctions or failures.
• Maintain and repair industrial machinery, including die cutters, web and sheet-fed presses, inserting machines, folders, conveyor systems, and bindery equipment.
• Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment to perform repairs.
• Repair or fabricate machine components using welding equipment and lathes, milling machines, drill presses.
• Troubleshoot and maintain gearboxes, sprockets, pumps, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Perform welding and fabrication tasks, including MIG and TIG welding, as needed.
• Measure and monitor air and fluid pressure and flow to ensure proper equipment operation.
• Identify, order, and maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
• Complete daily maintenance reports and document repairs, inspections, and equipment issues.
• Perform general building maintenance and assist with HVAC troubleshooting and repairs.
