Job summary

Foster Farms is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the Livingston plant, nights shift. The role covers preventive maintenance, electrical/electronic repair, welding, and fabrication to keep our ready-to-eat operations running smoothly.

Ideal candidates will have electronics training, welding skills, and the ability to work independently and safely on a 6-day weekly schedule. This is an on-site opportunity in Livingston, CA, with strong shutdown readiness requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have completed all current training required for Deli Maintenance.
• AA degree in electronics or certificate of completion in electronic technology with 2 years of related electrical/electronic industry experience.
• Must be able to communicate in English both oral and written.
• Must demonstrate proficiency in welding equipment.
• Must be able to perform fabrication/layout work effectively.
• Must be able to work independently and with limited supervision.
• Must be able to climb and work from ladders.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on all assigned electronic/mechanical equipment throughout the Livingston Plant.
• Perform plant maintenance repair work related to plumbing, sheet metal, pneumatics, electrical and electronics including PLC and microprocessors.
• Perform layout and fabrication work required for plant maintenance, including welding processes.
• Troubleshoot by utilizing blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Assist Purchasing personnel with ordering materials for equipment repairs and construction projects.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping and sanitation standards in accordance with GMPs, SSOPs and USDA requirements.
• Work 6 days per week and long hours.
