Kamatics Corporation in Bloomfield, CT is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the night shift to keep production equipment running smoothly. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance of manual and automated machinery, including CNC lathes and mills, with opportunities for overtime.

Ideal candidates have 4–6 years of manufacturing experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and strong diagnostic and repair skills, plus a commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain a variety of manual and automated machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, equipment manuals, and work orders.
• Calibrate instruments and use hand tools and measuring devices accurately.
• Fundamental knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems as they relate to equipment.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement (5S).

Responsabilités

• Act as a troubleshooter and repair equipment and building utilities. Resolve problems or refer problems to appropriate individual.
• Perform preventive maintenance with work orders on manual and automated machinery, including CNC lathes, millers, saws, grinding, and honing equipment.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns of equipment to keep production loss to a minimum.
• Inspect equipment to evaluate conditions that could lead to production breakdowns or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow safety procedures.
