Job summary

Abbott Park, IL-based Maintenance Group Leader will serve as a hands-on mechanical lead for night shift, with about 70% hands-on work and 30% leadership. This onsite role supports successful night-shift operation within the GES Global Engineering Services division.

The position requires coordinating workload, providing technical guidance, ensuring safe and compliant maintenance, and maintaining accurate documentation while supporting utilities operations and COR activities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance and repairs of motors, HVAC and related systems.
• Leadership responsibilities over night-shift maintenance staff.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on mechanical work and repairs as primary duties.
• Maintain building systems for manufacturing, utilities, and facilities.
• Repair motors, perform shaft alignments and basic pipe fitting.
• Review work orders to determine requirements and plan repairs.
• Identify parts, materials and tools needed for repairs.
• Document work performed and follow up needs with accuracy.
