Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Machine Shop Operator on the 3rd shift. The role focuses on fabricating, assembling, and finishing sheet metal parts according to blueprints, specifications, and work orders.

You will set up and run punch presses, shears, brakes, drills, and other equipment; read drawings; cut, bend, and join metal; and inspect workmanship to ensure conformance. Training on 1st shift for a few months.

Competenze

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience in sheet-metal fabrication.
• Experience welding light/heavy gauge aluminum, stainless steel, brass work.

Mansioni

• Set up and run punch press, power shear, hydraulic, mechanical power break, EHRT machine.
• Prepare metal parts, fixtures, and equipment for fabrication.
• Maintain sheet metal equipment.
• Read drawings and sketches of work to be performed.
• Operate light metalworking machines such as shears, brakes, punches, and drill presses to cut, bend, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal.
• Fit and join sheet metal parts using riveter, welding, soldering, and similar equipment to fabricate products.
• Grind and buff seams, joints, and rough surfaces.
• Inspect product quality and installation to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Print work orders, check revision levels, and print dispatch lists.
• Move material using a forklift or pallet jack.
