Job summary

Mars Petcare is seeking a Machine Operator - Technician (Making/Packing) for the Aurora, Nebraska night shift. You will operate high-speed packaging and processing equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure product quality on a fast-paced line.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and operational excellence, with strong training opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package. This is a full-time, permanent position on nights, starting with immediate onboarding and on-site work.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent civilian/military education.
• Experience: 2+ years of manufacturing machinery operation preferred, but equivalent mechanical/technical military experience is highly valued.
• Professional skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate advanced packaging and processing machinery safely and efficiently to meet daily production goals.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance, adjust machinery, and troubleshoot to root-cause level.
• Conduct standard quality checks including metal detection, date code verification, item number checks, and CCP/oPRP audits.
• Load packaging materials, clear jams, reset faults, and lead product changeovers.
• Record production metrics and maintain shift documentation in basic computer systems.
• Maintain GMPs and a safe working environment.
