Job summary

Mativ in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a Machine Operator-Orienter 1 to join its Filtration Advanced Materials team. You will safely operate production lines, set up equipment, change tooling, monitor quality, and report production data on night shifts from 7:45 pm to 8:00 am, with day training during the first weeks and occasional overtime.

• Forklift qualification required.
• Ability to understand and use data collection systems.
• Mechanical background or experience.
• Able to work with metric and English measurements.
• Proficient with calipers, micrometers, rulers.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand schedule, BOM, SOC.
• Select proper tooling, install tooling, ensure correct resin.
• Position controls to SOC, activate extruder and drives.
• Test initial product, adjust to spec.
• Package product per packaging instructions.
• Troubleshoot process, perform QC tests per SOC, ensure process in control.
• Store finished product per instructions.
• Enter data into data collection system.
• Identify tooling damage and wear.
• Clean and return tooling to stock.
• Accident reporting procedure.
• Complete housekeeping in the work area.
• Comply with OSHA safety requirements.
• Know location of MSDS, first aid supplies, fire extinguishers, exits.
