Description

This position requires a self-motivated individual willing to work safely in a team-based system. They need to have the ability to schedule their work, prioritize their workload, and complete tasks in a timely manner. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must. A desire for continuous improvement and quality workmanship are required to meet our customers' increasing demands. Overtime including weekends may be available.

Responsibilities

1. Work safely and follow all related policies and programs to ensure a safe working environment.
2. Accurately report time, production, and material usage.
3. Set up the machine, including preparing materials and retrieving paper from storage.
4. Enter production run information into a computer, including job details and measurements.
5. Report irregularities, maintenance needs, and quality issues to the Production Supervisor.
6. Operate, change over, start up, and clean the machine.
7. Check raw materials against production requirements to prevent shortages.
8. Verify dimensions on materials using a ruler to ensure quality.
9. Troubleshoot machine issues and recommend process improvements.
10. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
11. Perform other tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous machine operator experience is required.
• Experience in slitting, coating, or printing is preferred.
• Good human relations and strong verbal communication skills are required.

Hourly Pay Range: $23-$30 per hour.
