Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator for the night shift to operate converting machines, set up sections, and maintain clean, safe work areas.

Responsibilities include inspecting dies, monitoring quality, recording production data, and assisting other operators while meeting schedule goals. You will train with team members, cross-train on other machines, and participate in maintenance reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in a packaging environment preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic measurements.

Responsibilities

• Set up rails, print, and die cut section on converting machine accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques.
• Inspect dies before and after run to ensure repairs are made before the next run.
• Monitor box quality, including loose liner, warp, correct size, and print.
• Maximize equipment utilization by operating at available capacity and speed.
• Train and assist First Helper, Flexo Stacker, and Bundlers with job duties on the machine.
• Cross-train on other machines.
• Complete necessary reports: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data.
• Turn in maintenance work orders for needed repairs and be proactive in equipment maintenance.
• Adhere to production schedule; suggest schedule optimizations to meet cost, quality, and service goals.
