Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a reliable Machine Operator for its food manufacturing team in Affton, MO. You will operate, monitor, and maintain production and packaging equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality output.

The role requires hands-on machining and setup, willingness to learn, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Join a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of manufacturing or production experience.
• Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform equipment setup, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Operate production and packaging machines following company procedures.
• Set up equipment, perform product changeovers, and make machine adjustments as needed.
• Monitor machine performance to ensure quality and minimize downtime.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor mechanical adjustments.
• Conduct routine quality checks and document results accurately.
• Follow GMP, HACCP, food safety, and sanitation requirements.
• Clean equipment and maintain a safe, organized work area.
• Complete production, quality, safety, and sanitation paperwork.
• Handle raw materials and ingredients, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Use pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
• Work with production, maintenance, quality, and leadership teams to meet production goals.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
