Job summary

Snap-on in Elkmont, Alabama, is seeking a full-time Machine Operator to set up, maintain and run manual and CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment. The role requires reading blueprints, measuring parts with micrometers and calipers, and ensuring productivity and quality while working Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Central Time, with possible overtime on weekends. You will operate and tend both manual and CNC machines, adjust controls, and inspect finished workpieces.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measurement tools.
• Willingness to work night shift and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up manual machines and CNC machines to start a production cycle.
• Operate and tend manual and CNC machines.
• Read blueprints and interpret specifications to determine setup and sequence of operations.
• Adjust controls to set machining factors and ensure quality output.
• Inspect finished parts using gauges and measuring tools and document results.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and report issues to supervisor.
