Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Leeds, Alabama is seeking a CNC Operator to operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts according to drawings and quality standards. You will monitor performance, perform routine inspections, and maintain safe, efficient production.

The ideal candidate will have an associates degree in CNC machining or 3 years of relevant CNC experience, be able to read blueprints, perform basic programming, and work overtime on the 3rd shift.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets blueprints and work instructions.
• Strong mathematical ability for measurements and conversions.
• Ability to read quality inspection tools and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Program, set-up & run CNC mill/lath machines.
• Troubleshoot programs and provide feedback to engineers.
• Set up and use cutting tools and fixtures.
• Using gauges and measuring instruments to ensure proper quality.
• Understand, interpret and write basic codes/programs as needed.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance on machines such as cleaning metal chips out of CNC machines.
• Check daily liquid levels of machine
• Follow inspection and status reports
• Comply with quality policies, specifications and work instructions
• Train other personnel as needed
• Other duties as requested by Supervisor and/or management.
