Novolex in Baxter Springs, KS is seeking a Machine Operator Assistant to support high-speed printing production. You will back up the Machine Operator, read POP, prepare components, perform setup/changeovers, and follow safety and quality programs.

The shift is 7pm–7am, Sunday–Tuesday and every other Saturday, with starting pay of $17.43/hour. Qualified candidates have at least six months in manufacturing, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to an accident-free, drug-free workplace.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably with a high-speed process.
• Commitment to an accident-free and drug-free workplace.
• Quality-conscious, oriented to excellence.
• Strong work ethic evidenced by enthusiasm, positive attitude, and high energy level.

Responsabilités

• Assist and function as back-up to Machine Operator to produce quality product at target machine speeds using safe work practices.
• Read & understand Production Order Packet (POP); prepare all machine components for production.
• Read, understand, and correctly complete daily paperwork.
• Follow designated procedures to requisition or return components & materials, inspect components & materials, install components & materials, complete pre & post production activities.
• Assist with set-up and/or change over activities within allotted time.
• Participate in Preventative Maintenance Activities as assigned.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Complete assigned duties in compliance with company policies & procedures.
• Actively engage in safety programs.
• Effectively communicate with team members across shifts.
• Assist and train other team members as needed.
