Cooper Steel of Virginia is seeking a CNC Machine Operator for the night shift, working Monday through Thursday from 5:30 PM to 6:00 AM. This role involves producing parts by operating a computer numerical control machine, while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for producing parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals; good judgment; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to work effectively with others. While performing certain duties of the job, the employee is required to squat, bend, twist, lift, pull, and reach. Lifting is required up to 75 lbs. Must be flexible in hours worked and willing to work overtime.
Position performs work mostly in the shop setting which includes a variety of working conditions. These include the following conditions: noise level fluctuations from moderate to high, use of personal protective equipment, machine/equipment use. Position involves everyday risks or exposure to elements that require safety precautions. Position will be required to work in adverse weather conditions such as heat, humidity, cold, precipitation, etc.
