Job summary

Alliance Steel, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator in Oklahoma City to contribute to our engineered steel and building components.

The role involves maintaining a safe workspace, adhering to procedures, and meeting quality standards while performing diverse manual tasks in varying temperatures. The ideal candidate can read tape measures and calipers, understands decimals, and has some machine operating experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial, construction, or general labor environments.
• Manufacturing-related education or certification is a plus.
• Able to read tape measures, angle finders, and/or micrometers.

Requirements

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain a safe work environment
• Abide by standard work procedures and job safety standards
• Meet quality expectations for all output produced
• Perform a variety of manual tasks in varying temperatures for extended periods of time, which may include lifting light to heavy materials, climbing, standing, squatting, and bending
• Attention to detail is a must
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Additional duties and/or projects may be assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to lift 50lbs., bend, squat, kneel and or stand for extended periods of time
• Must be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions
• Able to follow all safety procedures

Education and Experience:

• Previous experience working an industrial, construction, or general labor job
• Additional education and/or certification in manufacturing
• Forklift & Crane experience a plus
• Must be proficient in reading a tape measure, angle finder, and/or micrometers
• Must understand decimal points
• 10 key is experience is a plus
• Must have some kind of machine operating experience

Boot Requirements:

• Must meet ASTM F2413-18 standards
• Must be full-leather (no fabric)
• Must have a built-in Metatarsal Guard (MT)
