Job summary

Whirlwind Steel Buildings and Components is seeking a Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain various types of machinery to produce parts according to procedures and quality standards.

You will monitor output, perform inspections, and adjust settings to maintain product specifications while adhering to safety protocols and completing production logs. A high school diploma and proven machine-operating experience are required, with teamwork and reliability a must.

Responsibilities

• Operate and control machinery according to SOPs and production schedules.
• Set up machines before production, load materials, adjust settings, and calibrate equipment.
• Monitor output for quality, perform inspections, and adjust as needed to meet specs.
• Follow safety protocols and report safety issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain production logs and record machine activity and settings.
• Collaborate with team members and QC personnel to resolve issues.
• Maximize productivity and minimize downtime through optimized procedures.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Meet or exceed daily production goals.

Job Summary

A Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various types of machinery to produce pieces or perform specific tasks according to established procedures and quality standards. The Machine Operator ensures the equipment's safe and efficient operation and troubleshoots issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and control machinery as per standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production schedules.
• Set up machines before production, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and ensuring the proper calibration of equipment.
• Monitor the output for quality and consistency, performing inspections, and making necessary adjustments to maintain product specifications.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain records of production output, machine settings, and machine activities. Complete production logs as required.
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality control personnel to ensure smooth production and resolve any issues that may arise during the process.
• Strive to maximize machine productivity and minimize downtime by optimizing machine setting and operational procedures.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, safety standards, and company policies at all times.
• Must be able to meet or exceed daily production goals.

Physical Requirements
