Job summary

Atterro in Alabaster, AL is hiring a Machine Feeder to operate and monitor production equipment, ensuring smooth production flow and quality. The role involves loading materials, inspecting outputs, and maintaining safety standards.

You will work 6:00 PM–4:30 AM, 14 days on/14 days off, with competitive weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. Prior machine-operator experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.
• Experience operating manufacturing or production equipment.
• Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and basic technical documentation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to monitor equipment for proper operation.
• Ability to perform quality inspections and maintain production standards.
• Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Load paper inserts, promotional materials, or other production materials into designated machine pockets.
• Prepare materials by jogging, fanning, bending, or separating them to ensure proper machine feeding.
• Monitor machine operation to identify issues such as skipped, doubled, or incorrectly inserted materials.
• Clear minor jams and reset equipment as directed.
• Catch completed products from the production line and organize them into neat bundles.
• Inspect materials for quality issues, defects, missing pieces, doubles, or skips.
