Staffmark Group is seeking a Machine Feeder Operate in Alabaster, AL to support production lines by feeding materials, monitoring equipment, and ensuring product quality in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves loading materials into pockets, trimming jams, inspecting outputs, and helping meet daily production goals while adhering to safety and quality standards. Previous manufacturing experience preferred; high school diploma or GED is recommended.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.
• Experience operating manufacturing or production equipment.
• Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and basic technical documentation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to monitor equipment.
• Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Load paper inserts, promotional materials, or other production materials into designated machine pockets.
• Prepare materials by jogging, fanning, bending, or separating them to ensure proper machine feeding.
• Monitor machine operation to identify issues such as skipped, doubled, or incorrectly inserted materials.
• Clear minor jams and reset equipment as directed.
• Catch completed products from the production line and organize them into neat bundles.
• Inspect materials for quality issues, defects, missing pieces, doubles, or skips.
• Bundle, strap, and prepare finished materials according to production requirements.
• Verify piece counts and ensure the correct materials and versions are being used.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and production procedures.
• Communicate machine or quality concerns to the Lead, Crew Leader, or Supervisor.
• Assist with meeting daily production goals and deadlines.
