Job summary

GHR Healthcare invites applications for a Long-Term Acute Care Registered Nurse (LTAC RN) on a 13-week travel contract in Pontiac, MI. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week at an on-site facility, providing critical care and rehabilitation support to medically complex patients.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of bedside nursing experience (2+ preferred), and hold an MI-eligible RN license with active BLS and ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Active RN license eligible to practice in Michigan.
• Minimum 1 year of bedside nursing experience; 2 years preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required before first shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and create individualized care plans within established timelines.
• Deliver evidence-based bedside care using the nursing process.
• Monitor patient status, communicate changes to the team, and document interventions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, care plans, and progress.
• Assist in interdisciplinary conferences and care goal reviews.
• Support rehabilitation activities and educate patients and families on health needs.
• Begin discharge planning at admission and guide safe transitions of care.
• Supervise and mentor licensed practical nurses and aides as needed.
• Promote patient safety, infection control, and fall prevention.
