Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Night Shift

Join a collaborative long-term acute care nursing team as a Registered Nurse providing compassionate, evidence-based care to medically complex patients. This 13-week travel nursing contract offers 12-hour night shifts in Mount Clemens, Michigan, a community in the Detroit metropolitan area known for its historic downtown and convenient access to metropolitan attractions and services. • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Michigan
• At least two years of bedside clinical nursing experience
• At least one year of intensive care experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before the first shift
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required before the first shift
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and patient-care skills
• Complete a comprehensive nursing assessment within eight hours of admission and develop individualized plans of care.
• Provide direct nursing care to medically complex patients using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and communicate clinically relevant information promptly to providers and nursing leadership.
• Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care outcomes accurately and in accordance with established policies.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and support ongoing care planning and rehabilitation goals.
• Initiate discharge planning at admission and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers in preparation for a safe transition.
• Delegate appropriately and provide direction, training, and supervision to nursing assistants, practical nurses, and orienting staff.
• Promote patient and staff safety through safe handling practices, infection prevention, hazard awareness, and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Prioritize care effectively, manage time and resources responsibly, and contribute to a positive, team-oriented unit environment.
• Assume charge responsibilities after orientation when requested and pursue continuing professional development.
