Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with rules and guidelines.
• Meet with nursing staff and support personnel to plan shift services.
• Participate in the facility’s quality assurance program for the nursing department.
• Supervise nursing service personnel and ensure policy compliance.
• Assist in planning the nursing portion of the resident discharge plan.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
• Complete accident/incident reports and chart entries.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Deliver and maintain optimum resident care and comfort.
