Job summary

Starr Regional Medical Center in Etowah, TN is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Long Term Care unit. This full-time night shift (7pm–7am) with rotating weekends requires compassionate, patient-focused care.

Join Lifepoint Health network and provide skilled nursing, assist with ADLs, wound care and specimens under RN supervision. Tennessee LPN license and BCLS within 30 days of hire are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an LPN program.
• Requires critical thinking and decisive judgment under stress.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• TN LPN license required (single-state or compact).
• BCLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, collects data for patient assessment.
• Performs care plans: wound care, specimen collection; may administer meds.
• Assists RN with plan of care development.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Monitors and communicates patient status with RN, physician, family.
• Advocates for patient physical and emotional well-being.
