Job summary

Aaron Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chester, CT is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the night shift (11:00pm–7:00am). This role provides direct resident care under supervision, administers medications, records vital signs, and supports daily living activities in a collaborative team.

CT-licensed LPNs with CPR/BLS certification, strong communication, and compassionate, resident-centered approach are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted LPN license in Connecticut.
• Graduate of an accredited practical/vocational nursing program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification as required by facility policy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with residents, families, and the care team.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents under the supervision of an RN or as directed by physician orders.
• Administer medications and treatments (oral, topical, injections, as permitted) per orders and facility policy.
• Take and record residents’ vital signs and monitor for changes in condition.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility, hygiene.
• Perform basic wound care, dressing changes, catheter or ostomy care as allowed.
• Collect specimens for lab tests as ordered.
• Observe and document residents’ physical and emotional status; report changes to supervising RN or physician.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided in medical records.
