Job summary

Armor Health seeks a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join the Riverside County Jail team on a PRN night shift (7pm–7am). You will provide holistic nursing care in a correctional setting and assist physicians, RNs, and allied staff with examinations, treatments, and routine procedures.

Responsibilities include taking histories, vital signs, TB testing, collecting labs, documenting in the EMR, coordinating transfers, and administering medications under orders.

Qualifications

• Current/Active LPN license
• Current CPR certificate
• Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR)
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance (background check and drug screen)

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care in a correctional setting.
• Assist health care providers with examinations, treatments and routine procedures.
• Take patient histories, vital signs, and perform TB skin tests.
• Conduct lab tests and ensure results are delivered to the physician or RN.
• Coordinate patient transfers to medical facilities as needed and document contacts in POMR.
• Administer medications under orders and maintain accurate documentation.
