MENLOPARK is seeking a nurse supervisor to provide direct nursing care and to supervise daily nursing activities within the facility in Portland, Oregon. The role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local standards and supports the Director of Nursing and Nurse Supervisor in delivering high-quality resident care.

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the facility.
• Ensure that all nursing personnel assigned to you comply with the written policies and procedures established by this facility.
• Periodically review the department's policies and procedures and make recommendations for revisions.
• Meet with your assigned nursing staff and support personnel to plan shifts, services, programs, and activities.
• Maintain and update the Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure compliance with its provisions.
• Provide written and oral reports/recommendations about shift activities as required.
• Cooperate with other resident services when coordinating nursing services to maintain the resident's total regimen of care.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of the facility's quality assurance program for the nursing service department.
• Participate in facility surveys (inspections) conducted by government agencies.
• Assist in updating the resident discharge plan and plan the nursing services portion of the discharge plan as necessary.
• Explain department policies and procedures to personnel, residents, visitors, and government agencies as required.
