Job summary

Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham, AL is seeking an LPN to provide and document individualized patient care during nights in a 595-bed acute-care setting. The role includes medication administration, IV therapy, and collaboration with RNs and providers to support safe patient care.

The LPN will participate in patient education, maintain accurate records, and contribute to a safe environment for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Nursing School Graduate eligible for licensure in Alabama.
• Current nursing license in the State of Alabama.
• Maintains current BLS certification.
• Ability to work night shifts and weekend rotations as required by the schedule.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in advanced practical nursing skills and use of patient care/equipment as defined by unit requirements.
• Communicates patient status to the RN and other health care team members.
• Assists RN or provider during examinations and procedures.
• Documents patient data and education according to Baptist Health guidelines.
• Performs triage to assess patient needs and determine next steps in care with the nursing team.
