Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Staff LPN for the Med Surg Ortho Unit on the night shift. This full-time role includes weekend and holiday rotation and requires prior LPN experience.

You will provide nursing care across the health-illness spectrum and collaborate with the healthcare team in a high reliability environment. You will delegate tasks appropriately, participate in care planning, and contribute to quality improvement while maintaining patient safety and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School or GED (Required)
• BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - National Council of State Boards of Nursing
• Must hold a current license from the State of Ohio.

Responsibilities

• 25% Performs initial, ongoing and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and/or individual.
• 25% Based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems, documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs including: age, size, and development stage.
• 20% Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriately determined intervals; as part of a multidisciplinary team, revises plan of care based on evaluative data.
• 20% Delegates tasks in accordance with specific criteria and state statutes. Reviews work performed by those to whom it is delegated.
• 10% Actively participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. Acts as patient advocate.
• As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties.
