Job summary

Marymount Hospital, part of the Cleveland Clinic, seeks an LPN for night shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. on 2 East/2 South med/surg units, serving orthopedic and general medical patients.

You will collect data, administer medications, participate in care plans, educate patients and families, and support orientation of new staff. Ohio LPN licensure and BLS are required; one year of patient care preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing Program.
• Current Ohio licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Collect, document and report patient data and observations to the RN or authorized directing health care provider.
• Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions.
• Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions.
• Perform routine laboratory tests.
• Educate patients and family members.
• Participate in the departmental orientation of new employees in a positive manner, share knowledge, experiences, and provide guidance when assigned.
