Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System in Garfield Heights, OH is seeking an LPN for the Post Surgical Unit at Marymount Hospital. This med/surg unit handles orthopedic surgeries and general care, offering a diverse patient population and opportunities for hands-on nursing growth.

As an LPN, you will collect and report patient data, implement care plans with RNs, administer medications, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing Program.
• Current Ohio licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Collect, document and report patient data and observations to the RN or directing health care provider.
• Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions.
• Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions.
• Perform routine laboratory tests.
• Educate patients and family members.
• Assist in orientation and support of new staff as needed.
